A classy and mellow handmade cot bed patchwork quilt in neutral colours of beige and chocolate brown. This would make a perfect wall hanging for a nursery, a beautiful heirloom for a special child. Made to order.
This unique patchwork quilt’s grid and reverse is in chocolate brown and white gingham. Within each grid is a white cotton square containing either a letter from the alphabet or a number from 1-9 inclusive. Each letter or digit has been cut from a selection of carefully selected fabrics. A wide variety of patterned fabrics are used to make the quilt. All are cotton.
Quilt dimensions: 36" x 50" (approximately 92 x 127cm)
The quilt has been thoughtfully designed and lovingly handmade. The appliquéd letters and numbers are all hand quilted around the edges, as is the grid's inside edge, thus showing the design on the chocolate brown and white gingham fabric to the reverse of the quilt. The quilt contains polyester wadding. The quilt is made from cotton so can be washed with care on a 40 degree wash and dried on the line or flat (not to be tumble dried).
The quilt shown in the photo was made for Lucas Jo in July 2004. His Mum is delighted with the quilt and has given us a testimonial:
"Lucas used to kick about and play on his quilt when he was a baby, he regularly uses it as a blanket for cosy sits on couch and his favourite use for his quilt is picnics (inside and out!). I have washed it time and time again. Its always comes up, good as new!" Trina, Mum to Jasmine and Lucas.
This would make a perfect keepsake/heirloom, lovely as a wall hanging in a child's room. Alternatively a beautiful new baby, Christening or birthday gift.
All our quilts are individually made and even quilts of the same design will include differing fabric combinations making each one unique and extra special.
